BREXIT

The UK has left the EU with a trade agreement. There are changes to process when you send goods to the NI, ROI or EU.

Read on for helpful information about the new processes.

What You Need tO Do…

  • Obtain your EORI number, plus a second EORI number for Northern Ireland.

  • Identify commodity codes of your products and secure any necessary licences.

  • Be familiar with and ready to complete commercial invoices.

  • Complete a direct representation form allowing our customs agents to act on your behalf.

  • If you’re using one of our pallet networks, be ready to use ISPM 15 standard pallets.

Palletways

Portal has text fields ready for you to populate with customs information. When you enter your EU consignments on Portal, simply populate the relevant fields, and upload the commercial invoice when asked.

You will need to complete and return to us the Direct Representative Form for freight going to Ireland.

DX Freight

Please refer to this general information pack from DX for more information. For shipments to NI and ROI, we will need your standing authority to act as your representative. This template should be completed on your company headed paper and sent back to us to give us authority to act as representative on your behalf.

You need to upload the commercial invoice on the DM6 system when you enter consignments to NI/ROI. An example commercial template can be downloaded here.
